Olin is the second of 32 kids belonging to a community of families to graduate from high school this year. At his 18th birthday celebration, I presented him with a small quilt made from pieces of clothing belonging to many of the adults who have watched him grow up. I have pledged to make each of these 32 children a similar quilt when they reach graduation. The entire project will span 18 years.

My idea is that they will be able to take with them a little piece of all of us as they embark on their future.
