I have just finished the top of one of two large memorial quilts honoring the life of a woman named, Debbie. She had the most amazing collection of tailor-made, button-down shirts, enough to fill two large boxes.
The fabrics of her shirts were a perfect match for a large Tartan-inspired quilt design.
The gradients of the colors made for subtle shifts in color across the design.
And the grey grouping was so elegant!
The piece placement came together almost effortlessly because all of the fabrics blended so nicely.
There was one bright red shirt that I used as an accent.
The very center of the quilt has a red energy source made from the red shirt.
Stay tuned for a finished photo once the quilt is fully completed!
