Open School East – Open House!
Back in April I wrote a post featuring the construction that was underway of the new Open School East campus. Sunday was the school’s inaugural open house – the entire community was invited to come and tour the school, eat delicious food provided by two food carts, and even shoot a little hoop in the school courtyard. Counting Buddhas

Memorial Quilt: Amanda’s Flowers
My most recent memorial quilt was made from the clothing of a 16-year old girl, named Amanda, who died much too young. By far the youngest person to be honored through one of my quilts, the tenor of my process and the experience of working with her clothing was notably different from many of my other quilts.
