I had the chance to visit the de Young Museum in San Francisco a few days ago and caught their annual Bouquets to Art exhibit. Floral artists are paired with a work of art that is meant to inspire their arrangements. There were some incredible pieces – here are just a few I found noteworthy. Love the rosey-twiggy bird!

More than anything this post is about capturing a moment in time, and one that is soon to change. I walked into my 10-year old son’s room the other day and wanted to capture the feeling of his room, knowing that the teen years are fast approaching. Winter Inspiration
Snow days are not always a given here in the Northwest, so when we were hit with a big snow and ice storm last weekend, I headed for the mountains and found the stark, dormant vegetation an inspiration.
